 Over 30 years ago, Renato Tornifoglia was playing video games in a corner store in his Bridgeport neighborhood. The jeweler next door noticed how good he was with his hands, and asked Renato if he'd like to learn the business. He was just 11 years old. Of course he'd like to - what a great chance to work with metal, torches and fire!
 
Two years later, the jeweler's father retired. The son brought Renato to Westport, where he met Bob Hampel of New England Jewelers. Renato spent 27 years, off and on, at the Main Street store.
